The Annual Greater Moncton Dragon Boat Festival organizers are proud to present the seventh annual Dragon Boat race in the greater Moncton area. Teams of 20 paddlers, a drummer and a steersperson compete in a 46ft boat.  Our generous paddlers will help raise funds to support a worthy causes including the ... Lions Sick Childrens Fund Inc. This 2 day event, May 25 & 26, 2012, will be held on Jones Lake with our festival base at Hillcrest School. WE RACE RAIN OR SHINE !!   Friday - High School races - 4:30-8:00pm Saturday-corporate/community races - 8:30am - 3:30pm Combined with the excitement and competition of dragon boat races, food and entertainment, community spirit and charitable fundraising, you have a colorful two-day event that will attract nearly 1,000 paddlers and thousands of spectators in a festival atmosphere.
